It was great to finally be back and attend the The 58th Annual Mineral & Gem Show in Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines 3 years post-pandemic.
Renowned for being in the largest in Europe, the trade show brings together the very best of minerals, gemstones, and fossils from around the world and transforms the otherwise somnolent town of Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines into an epicentre of activity full of smiling visitors, exhibitions and white tents overspilling into the local amenities such as the swimming pool and the Jules Simon park.
The Mineral & Gem show is our personal favourite as it combines our love of crystals and a rare opportunity to catch up with friends in our wider crystal and fossil professional network in the most beautiful setting.
Each year we take the opportunity to attend the show prior to it opening to businesses and the public which provides us with the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll around prior to the hustle and bustle which ensues.
Whilst this was not primarily a buying trip for us needless to say we did make a ‘few’ purchases, which are currently on route to the warehouse due for arrival during the second week of July 2023.
