Awarded official gemstone status in 1981, Ammolite is rare and truly a wonder of nature, nowhere else in the gem world is there to be found a combination of colour and brilliance equivalent.
From the largest active Canadian Ammolite mine in the world and collected just east of the Rock Mountains in the upper Bearpaw formation which dates back approximately 71 million years, these are natural pieces on original matrix which have been stabilised in resin to protect the fragile nature of the thin Ammolite layer.
Known as the generation gemstone & seven colour prosperity stone, Ammolite is assured to be mined out in fewer than 20 years making all Ammolite pieces genuinely rare and great collectors pieces.
