Large Blue Celestite Geode Crystal Cluster

An impressive natural Celestite geode from Madagascar, weighing a substantial 3.79kg, featuring an abundance of beautifully formed crystals within a rugged, naturally textured matrix.

Personally selected by Distinction Crystals for its distinctive crystal formation, substantial size and attractive arrangement of well-developed crystals.

This striking specimen features a broad, open crystal-lined cavity, revealing a fascinating combination of large, prominent Celestite crystals and smaller crystalline formations. A particularly substantial crystal occupies the left-hand side of the cavity, surrounded by an intricate arrangement of translucent crystals displaying beautifully defined faces and natural variations in size and formation.

The crystals exhibit attractive blue-grey tones, with glassy, reflective surfaces that contrast beautifully against the pale, rugged outer matrix. Its irregular, gently curved opening and densely populated crystal cavity create wonderful depth, texture and visual interest.

With its substantial weight, impressive crystal formations and naturally sculptural appearance, this is a striking display piece for mineral collectors, crystal enthusiasts and those who appreciate the beauty of natural geological specimens.

About Celestite

Celestite, also known as Celestine, takes its name from the Latin word caelestis, meaning "heavenly" or "celestial", a reference to the beautiful sky-blue colouring frequently associated with this mineral.

Although Celestite occurs in several locations worldwide, Madagascar is especially renowned for producing beautiful Celestite geodes. These specimens often contain clusters of well-developed crystals surrounded by a contrasting natural matrix.

A Beautiful Natural Display Piece

The substantial size and impressive arrangement of naturally formed crystals make this specimen an attractive addition to a crystal collection, display cabinet, shelf or carefully styled interior.

Its generously sized opening provides a captivating view of the mineral's internal structure, while the combination of prominent individual crystals, smaller crystalline formations and rugged natural matrix creates a wonderful display of geological beauty.
