The galena—Aouli’s signature ore mineral—has partially transformed into delicate lead-oxide phases that glow warmly under UV light, hinting at traces of cerussite.
Such a multi-mineral assemblage is highly unusual even for Aouli, where these specimens are typically found separately rather than fused together. The result is a complex, richly textured stone that captures the full mineralogical story of the locality: baryte, fluorite, galena, pyrite, and their vibrant oxidation features, all locked into one dramatic specimen.
