A beautiful large piece of permineralised petrified wood with sparkling Quartz druzy coverage across the surface.

Sourced from Zwenkau near Leipzig in Saxony, Germany, this material is increasingly difficult to obtain. The original site is no longer accessible, as the pit has since been flooded, making specimens from this locality particularly sought after by fossil and mineral collectors.
This substantial specimen displays a striking contrast between the preserved fossil wood structure and the sparkling Quartz crystal formations, creating a unique natural display piece with impressive texture and detail.
