Detailed Description

This exceptional specimen features highly articulated, arborescent sprays of native silver that appear to “grow” directly out of a solid calcite base. The silver exhibits a complex, multi-directional habit, with intricate branching and delicate wire-like formations that catch the light from every angle.

The contrast is particularly pleasing; the sharp, metallic sheen of the silver is perfectly offset by the soft, matte-to-pearly texture of the white calcite matrix. The silver is well-distributed across the piece, with a primary concentration forming a dense, sculptural thicket on one side, while smaller, isolated dendrites accent the rest of the matrix.

Collector’s Note

Native silver from certain localities is often etched out of calcite to reveal these hidden structures. This specimen has been expertly prepared to preserve the delicate, feathery edges of the silver while maintaining the integrity of the host rock.

You will receive the exact piece shown in the photographs. Natural variations, inclusions, surface markings, and irregularities are part of the mineral’s natural formation and are not defects. Colours may vary slightly depending on lighting and screen settings.
