Polished Malacolla Collector Slice

A striking polished Malacolla slice — Malachite with Chrysocolla — from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, selected by Distinction for its beautiful natural colour contrast and distinctive formation.

The polished face reveals rich concentric Malachite banding in deep emerald and forest greens, contrasted by areas of vivid blue-green Chrysocolla mineralisation around the natural edges and exposed sections of the specimen.

This particular slice has a wonderfully sculptural, irregular outline, with sweeping rounded bands flowing through the centre and natural openings adding further depth and character. The combination of bold Malachite patterning and brighter turquoise-toned Chrysocolla gives the piece a particularly distinctive appearance.

Rather than being cut into a uniform shape, this collector slice retains much of the original structure and irregularity of the mineral, making it especially appealing as a display specimen for mineral collectors.
