Purple Sunset Labradorite Freeform

A vibrant sunset and purple labradorite freeform, hand carved and polished from Madagascan material. This piece displays strong warm-toned labradorescence, with striking flashes of red, copper, pink, and subtle purple.

It shows an unusual colour range compared with more typical blue labradorite. The rich sunset tones are produced by the stone’s internal layered feldspar structure, and when viewed under directional light, the polished face reveals shifting colour across the surface, creating depth and natural movement within the piece.

Carefully shaped to maximise visible flash, the freeform cut highlights the natural structure of the material while maintaining a balanced display shape. Madagascan labradorite is well known for producing strong colour effects, with warmer red and purple tones being less commonly seen.
